Griselinia littoralis is a hardy New Zealand native evergreen tree found naturally from coastal areas to mountain forests throughout the country. It forms a dense, bushy tree with attractive glossy green foliage, making it one of New Zealand's most popular plants for hedging, shelter belts, screening, riparian planting and landscape projects. Fast growing and adaptable, Griselinia thrives in a wide range of soil types and growing conditions, including coastal environments. Mature trees can reach up to 20 metres in height, although they are often kept smaller through trimming and hedge maintenance.
