Corokia 'Emerald and Jade' is a compact evergreen New Zealand shrub with dense branching and attractive emerald green foliage highlighted by soft silver-grey stems. During spring, small star-shaped yellow flowers appear, followed by ornamental berries that attract native birds. Its naturally tidy growth makes it an excellent choice for low hedges, borders, mass planting, and contemporary landscape designs. Hardy and easy to grow, 'Emerald and Jade' tolerates frost, coastal conditions, wind, and dry periods once established, making it a versatile option for gardens throughout New Zealand.

Sizing Guide

Our plants are sold in packs, and the bigger the pack, the better the price per plant. Every plant is outdoor grown in South Canterbury's tough conditions, so it arrives hardy and ready to go in the ground. Plant heights vary with the season and species.
Wholesale Grade = 7cm pot, approx 300mL. Industry known as GOL (Growing on Line), or Liner. Smallest grade we offer, suited for potting up and growing on. Can be planted out directly under the right conditions with a plant guard.
Landscape Grade = 9cm Pot, approx 500mL. Industry known a Revegetation Grade. Most popular grade we offer, plant is suitable size to plant out directly.
Large Grade = Approx 3L Pot. Common size at Garden Centres. A large root system and bigger plant. Ideal if wanting a hedge faster, these plants are already 1-2 years of growth.

Garden products come in a range of sizes. Smaller sizes suit trying a product or treating a few plants, while larger sizes are better value for big gardens, lifestyle blocks and regular use.

    Locally Adapted Native Plants

    Eco Souricng

Where possible, we source seed from naturally occurring populations as close as practical to their original environment. This helps ensure the plants retain the hardiness and characteristics that have developed over generations in local conditions.

    • Improve plant establishment and long-term survival.
    • Preserve the natural genetic diversity of local ecosystems.
    • Maintain the unique character of Canterbury's native vegetation.
